Tuscany is the quintessential Italian wine region. It is here, at the birthplace of the Renaissance, that wine has her strongest ties to art, religion and politics. Yet at the same time, wine has always been the most basic of Tuscan comforts.
Thursday, March 31
6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
The class, lead by Michael McCauley, Tria Wine Director and one of Philadelphia's leading wine educators and sommeliers, will guide you through this fun and informative Tuscan journey. It will include seven wines, light snacks, and a reception wine. We will sample and discuss Tuscany's most majestic red wines ~ Chianti, Brunello di Montalcino, and Vino Nobile de Montepulciano; the area's new superstar, the Super Tuscan; Tuscany's famous sweet sipper, Vin Santo; and the region's famous white wine Vernaccia di San Gimignano.
